Emma Plunkett
Trustee
Emma joined Renew as a Trustee in 2017 with a background of working with teenagers and young people through youth work at her church as well as a degree in Education. She was teaching full-time in schools for children with severe and complex learning difficulties but brought a breadth of knowledge from across the education sector. Having seen firsthand the limitations and underfunding of mental health support available to children and young people via the health service, Emma is passionate about Renew’s work with children and families, helping those who are falling through the gaps of statutory provision. Although she has now had to retire from teaching Emma is still dedicated to furthering the work of Renew and ensuring we constantly adapt our provision to meet the needs of our community.
