Renew’s CPD programme has been shaped by what we see every day in our counselling rooms and communities. We work with children, young people and adults across Essex, many of whom are navigating complex emotional landscapes alongside financial pressure, isolation or uncertainty. Their stories remind us why thoughtful practice matters and why we must keep developing our skills.
Our autumn programme brings together experienced facilitators, practical tools and space for reflection. Each session is designed to support you as a whole practitioner, not just as a professional completing hours.

Autumn 2026 sessions
Four Saturdays, September to December
All sessions run on a Saturday, 10am to 4pm, at Renew Counselling and Training, Sadlers House, 2 Legg Street, Chelmsford CM1 1AH.
Sessions are free for Renew staff and clinicians. External practitioners can attend at a subsidised rate of £50 per session.

Some of our CPD is open to external practitioners, while other sessions are reserved for Renew staff and clinicians. Whichever route brings you here, you’ll find learning that is relational, accessible and grounded in the work as it actually happens.
Looking for supervision CPD? The standalone modules that form part of our Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervision are open to qualified supervisors and are booked separately.

Booking and eligibility
- Who it is for:Â our CPD workshops are designed for qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, counselling students and other mental health professionals maintaining their professional standards.
Booking Process: To ensure we “manage bookings directly” and provide the best support, all workshop bookings are handled directly by the Renew training team.
Certification: Upon successful completion of a workshop, you will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance to include in your professional CPD portfolio.

Broad Appeal: While some sessions require prior qualifications, many are open to anyone with an interest in the mental health sector, including those considering a career change.
