Renew Counselling and Training
We are passionate about providing high-quality, professional training. Our specialist training is exciting, innovative and meets professional training standards.
Whether you’re looking to start a career in counselling or mental health work or looking to extend your existing skills, we have a range of courses to suit your needs.
The courses are part-time to enable students to study and train at a pace that fits in with their life
and commitments.
We believe passionately in the power of counselling for children and young people. And we believe that children and young people deserve professionally and appropriately trained counsellors.
That’s why we work in academic partnership with ARU to deliver the following:
This is a 4-year, part-time course which offers students the specific and unique skills and theory to be able to counsel and support children and young people. You will be required to be in training one full day a week.
For more information, head to the ARU website.
This is a 1-year, full-time course which provides students stimulating professional development, to focus on work with adults or undertake an introduction to working with children and young people. You will also carry out a research project in your field of interest as a practitioner. Attendance is one full day per week.
For more information, head to the ARU website.
We also deliver courses designed to support your curiosity and continual development.
For those considering a career in counselling and perhaps planning to apply for the DipHE in Counselling (Children and Young People), this course is an excellent platform to increase your understanding.
This course would also support those working in other caring professions such as teachers, teaching assistants and social workers.

The aim of this training curriculum is to enable qualified professionals across the helping professions (such as counsellors, pastoral staff and social care workers) to acquire the knowledge and competences required to practise as supervisors in line with evidence-based practice.

As counselling providers, we understand the importance of professional counselling standards, good practice, and the needs of students in training. We offer excellent support to our students, with staff-to-student ratios of 1-16 and supported placements for students.
We have a reputation for excellence in delivering this specialised training, and for graduating knowledgeable and effective practitioners.
Recent changes and updates to our curriculum have been designed to provide our graduation with a wider range of specialist skills for professional practice and to enhance their employability.
